March 1st, 2011 | Posted in Social Media Tips | No Comments »

Want to prewrite and schedule your Facebook posts?  We’re all busy and don’t have time to be on Facebook everyday.  But you can connect with your clients daily or every other day by planning ahead and utilizing  Roost’s Publishing Tool.

Imagine one day a week spending about an hour uploading that week’s posts ahead of time.  This way when you get slammed with showings, writing offers and inspections you don’t have an excuse for not “being in touch” on Facebook. (more…)

Latest Craze on Facebook!

December 23rd, 2010 | Posted in Social Media Tips | No Comments »

Checkout the latest craze on Facebook.  Branchout is a bit like Linkedin but in my opinion way cooler and easier to use because it’s built into Facebook where all your clients and friends are already.  It’s a great way to prospect for clients and to show case your resume.

As you know Facebook is a social network.  That means you really shouldn’t be promoting yourself all the time, but rather engaging with your clients.  Branchout does the bragging for you through their endorsements and resume feature!

It’s an app inside Facebook.  It’s free and super easy to use.  All you do is sign up here. You’ll notice from the picture I have in this post that I have 45 friends on Branchout- but from their connections I have 66,000 2nd degree connections at 46,000 companies.

Now why is this important? Think about if you know of a company moving to your city- you may want to help all of those relocating to buy a house.  With Branchout you can see who in your sphere knows someone at that company.  As you can see out of 45 people I have contacts at 46,000 companies- now that’s a lot of opportunity!  Beyond connecting the dots between friends Branchout is great for giving recommendations.  The more you give, the more you’re likely to receive from your clients.  This is your bragging page, your resume page, your I’m AWESOME page.  Branchout is the perfect place to talk about your accomplishments.

So what are you waiting for?  Hurry up and connect with me on Branchout! You’ll love it.

Claim your Name on all Social Media Sites

April 19th, 2010 | Posted in Social Media Tips | No Comments »

Have you tried to buy “yourname.com” or tried to use your name on Twitter and were disappointed that someone else beat you to it?  Imagine if you were one of the first to claim it before anyone else.  It’s all about branding.

In this crazy new world of social media and online marketing you need to choose a brand and stick to it.  So if you’re name is taken think of something creative that represents you, and then claim it before anyone else can on all the social media sites!

So where do you start?  Well you could go on to each site one by one, input your logo and register your names.  If you have time to do that- go for it.  If you want a complete list of places to visit check out claim.io they have them there for you to peruse.

However, if you’re like me, and don’t have the time or the patience you can pay claim.io to do it for you.  That’s right!  They do the hard work, and send you a nice list of all the sites/log-ins/pass words/ and you’re done.

Right now they have 10% off- so check it out soon.  You can have 3 levels:

100 Profiles runs $129

350 Profiles runs $329

So if you want to have one uniform social id- which you should, you will want to check this site out, or do it yourself. Either way you need to – Claim your Name!

Now I’ve just signed up for this fun technology so I’m a newbie- but it tracks all your social media identities and keeps them in one place, you can us the Dandyid widget on your sites/FB to share with your friends all your Social Media Identities! (you can see this on my personal FB profile page on the bottom left hand column- it’s empty as I’ve not filled out the SM sites :) One thing at a time!

BUT the really cool thing is it has a very comprehensive list of all the social media sites out there. So if you’re looking to explore SM or want to know what’s out there, this is a great place to start.

Cool thing – it’s in Beta, so it’s FREE!!!

365 Challenge

April 5th, 2010 | Posted in Social Media Tips | No Comments »

For the next 365 days I plan to explore and discover 365 new technologies and marketing tools to help small business owners be more profitable, productive and efficient. You can follow this Feed on my Facebook page or my Road Warrior Blog: www.RealEstateRoadWarrior.com

For those of you who’ve attended my RERW classes, you know that I am always throwing out new ideas and technologies to use. The biggest complaint I hear is I go to fast, and there’s too much information. I’m a believer that the fastest way to get “there” is one step at a time. So why not try a new tip a day and see what works.

On a personal level I had to ask myself, why do you want to do this? Here’s what I came up with:

1- Challenges me to engage in Social Media

2- Challenge my discipline

3- Takes me outside my comfort zone

4- SO COOL!!! And Addicting!!! ☺

5- Marketing Challenge, figure out how to do this the right way!

Hope you enjoy! And Please send me any tech tips and tools I should be using. I need the help!!!
